Trevor is a young man who has decided to pursue technical photography full time. He's all in. His current plan to grow this career via Patreon. His contribution to this project was irreplaceable. He volunteered to help make this video by proposing it to me several months ago and emailing me the coordinates, not knowing that we were already working on it with my buddy Matt Whitman who was miraculously able to get us access. When I told Trevor at the end of this project that it was likely he would have several more Patrons as a result of this effort, it was clear that it had not even crossed his mind. It is my sincere hope that this YouTube comment enables him to pursue a career in technical photography by pairing up hundreds of willing contributors to his work. He photographs Space-X launches, and all things aerospace..... seriously...he was introduced to me by an astronaut. This young man is legit, and his work will not disappoint you. He is going places, and it would be awesome if you checked out his stuff and decided if it's worth investing in someone who is humble and works hard. Also, he can print this picture for you.

Please consider supporting Trevor at: https://www.patreon.com/trevormahlmann
At the time of this comment, Trevor is driving across the wilds of Wyoming without cell phone coverage and he has 29 Patrons.

seriously cool, you successfully planed & executed the trip, got a lifetime cool experience for you, your family & several friends, & recorded it to share a majorly cool experience with millions who couldn't be there... excellent.
sandy (my cat) & i went to see the eclipse near st louis so i could combine that with a trip to visit family nearby, i got a good view, but i couldn't get sandy to wear solar safe glasses, so she hadda stay in the motel.

This is one of the coolest videos I've seen. All because of the space station. How much zoom did it take to see it that large? I'm surprised it was even visible. So insane. Great job.

We watched the eclipse at our house in Louisiana and we were sitting outside before it and we were burning up it was so hot the temperature drop felt so drastic it was awesome

Why is it when I look at the sun when an soalr eclipse is not happening it does not blind me but when the eclipse happens there is always story's on the news about people going blind form looking at the sun without protection?

Because it's too bright to look at long enough to do any damage. During an eclipse it's much much dimmer so easier to stare at for a long time.

Destin. Your friends were right - it was weird you were surprised your brain quit working. And you were right - you had your priorities straight, you were in the moment of the eclipse and enjoyed it. And you were all correct - the math on the transit was spot on - you got it on film and that was a gift to all of us. Its really amazing when it works!! So I see this for the first time August 10, 2019 and the above statements are still true. You have a beautiful family and I love your channel! Rock on!

I wasn't too far from you. Wasn't that amazing? It was so surreal when totallity hit. But what was so amazing was when the tiniest bit of photosphere peaked out between craters and made a brilliant spark in the "night" sky, like someone arc wielding on the edge of the moon. I was speechless.

This is by far thee coolest thing I have seen. I was in Colorado for a Gunsmithing school when this all happened. We were all using our welding helmets to look up at the sun. I was completely oblivious to the fact of the Space Station zipping by at all. It was the coolest day ever!!!

Dude, I enjoy your slo-mo stuff, bringing your ENGINEERING experience to the conversation helps to further explain how things work in our realm and these are the requirement people use to understand their surroundings, along with a view of their existence.

That said, if you are the honest scientist you claim to be get one of those moon rocks tested, it's likely fossilized wood.

Actually LOOK at moon landings & ISS nonsense of easily seen wires and harnesses on both people and equipment. How anyone continues to BELIEVE in these fantasies becomes a bit troubling, because you realize the biggest scam ever purportrated on to humanity. I mean you really think the atmosphere is magic air that spins with earth? Really? All pilot training manuals make all students to realize a non-rotating flat plane earth. Why not figuring for curvature? We've all been terribly deceived. Don't become a shill, your a real smart guy who could make serious impact into this deception. Go prove its round and you'll see.

It was so worth the drive and the wait. we went to kentucky but it was cloudy there so we drove down to tennessee for perfect weather.
